Interesting stuff.
I personally love wet races. It is when driver's skills really count and is less related only to the engine...
If you blink, you'll miss it.

Totally agree with that. It's shame that todays there is less and less wet races. The last Brazilian Grand Prix was a really joke but fortunately Verstappen had shown that it was still possible to race in a formula one car under the rain.

To be honest, those types of races i don't really watch.
I have a lot of the old 70s races but with them being in German, Italian, French or Japanese, and the video/sound quality being pretty poo, they don't really interest me. In fact, i don't think i've watched any pre-1984 race unless they are the season reviews.
The world will look up and shout, "Save us!" I'll whisper "No..."

I know what u mean... unfortunately some of the most legendary races in the history of F1 are either recorded in terrible quality or not recorded at all... I still would like to find any footage of the legendary 1968 german grand prix where stewart won in terrible torrential rain though..

Hopefully in the future the security conditions will improve so we can have less safety cars on track anytime there's rain.. the brazilian gp of last year could have been a classic.

It aint the full race unfortunately race lasted 1hr 48mins 58 secs but is the most complete version that you are probably going to get.

Looking at the BBC 1,2 scedules from that day all you had was a 20 minutes highlights programme on BBC 1 at 3.55pm - 4.15pm.

Loking at the scedules from 4th august 1968 BBC did not show the German grand prix at all.
